No. The AR experience launches directly from the browser on both iOS (Safari) and Android (Chrome) — zero app download required. On desktop it falls back to an interactive 3D viewer automatically.

Install the Fenicher app from the Shopify App Store, paste your API key, then map your product variants to SKUs in the app dashboard. The AR button appears on every matched product page — no theme editing needed.
A session is counted when a visitor taps the AR button and the experience launches — whether on mobile AR or the desktop 3D viewer. Refreshes and multiple views of the same product within 30 minutes count as one session.
Yes. Every account includes a sandbox environment with test API keys. Sandbox sessions are unlimited and free — they never count against your plan allowance and never appear in your live analytics.
